In my years of experience going back from version 9 upgrading BE caused me unlimited amounts of problems and hair tearing. Usually resulted in me having to uninstall, reinstall the program and recreate all jobs etc.
The problem is the same jobs which are nothing complex may not work in new versions.
Put it this way, the old days had me create 1 job (taking into consideration growth and expansion), I now have 16 jobs! most of them were because of issues and compatibility.
